Melting point: 61°C - 63°C, boiling point: 187°C - 191°C. easy deliquescence, soluble in water, ethanol and ether. Strong corrosion can destroy metal, rubber and cork etc..

1. Used in producing carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC).

3. In pesticide industry, it is used in producing intermediates of dantox, naphthylacetic acid, weedicide and chemical weed killer etc..
4. Used in producing indigo blue and related dyes in dyes industry.
5. Used as intermediates of chemical reagent and many kinds of organic synthesis.
